Beckley Woods is a deed restricted community formed in 1975. A set of Bylaws and a Deed of Restrictions were written and approved to attend to the governance and wellbeing of the neighborhood and it’s residents. A Board of Directors was formed to oversee this task. Members of the Board of Directors are chosen from residents of Beckley Woods and a slate of directors is presented annually and voted upon. The Board of Directors will then chose their own officers. The term for all Board members is one year. Many of our current Board members have served consecutive terms for many years. If you are interested in serving as a Board member, which is an unpaid volunteer position, you are invited to contact us at mailbwra@gmail.com. You will be promptly contacted.
The Beckley Woods Residents Association will be holding a special meeting on Monday evening April 29th, 2024 at 7:00pm. The meeting will be held in the meeting room of the Chenoweth Woods Apartments located at 14005 Old Station Road .
The purpose of the meeting will be to vote on an amendment to the Beckley Woods Residents Association’s Deed of Restrictions. The single item to be is amended is as follows:
16. Restrictions Run with Land.
These covenants and restrictions are to run with the land and shall be binding on all parties claiming under them. The restrictions may be cancelled, altered or amended at any time by the affirmative action of the Board of Directors by a vote of the majority of the Board of Directors present at the meeting where a quorum is present. Failure of any owner to demand or insist upon observance of any of these restrictions, or to proceed for restraint of violations, shall not be deemed a waiver of the violation or the right to seek enforcement of these restrictions.

Thanks to the thoughtfulness of one of our residents, Beckley Woods now has our own Little Free Library. The library is stocked with a wide variety of genres – everything from mystery to nonfiction to young adult classics. We hope that the Little Free Library will allow our residents to share the love of reading with fellow neighbors. We hope that everyone will find something they love, and of course feel free to leave behind one of your favorite books for someone else to enjoy. Happy reading!
My Little Free Library is located in front of
503 Bromwell Drive.
